Kate's 2nd Mini Recital
Kate had another cute recital this month, she is just too cute! She did really great especially since we missed a couple of weeks. I am so excited that she loves to dance, her smile lights up the room!
Easter Fun!
We kicked off our Easter celebrations by decorating Easter eggs with the Ahles family. Second year decorating with them and it is always lots of fun! This year, Parker did not turn green from dipping not only his egg but his whole hands in the egg dye. As you can see below, egg coloring was serious business this year!
Best friends, Kate and Cohen are too cute!!
I think it only took them 20 min or less to color all of these!
I like the Chinese writing on the eggs this year!
We also participated in our neighborhoods annual Easter Egg Hunt. This is our third year going to our neighborhood egg hunt and the kids love it. Gracie went to town this year, had to split up the number of eggs she snatched up. The limit was 12 eggs and I think she snagged about 20! Good thing Park and Kate only had about 6 or 8 each, figured it balanced out. :)
With their loot!
And in the midst of our Easter fun, Abbie and Matt had their first baby, Kara Diana Monson. We went to visit her the day after she was born. I am so excited for the two of them. They have waited 9 years to receive their precious little bundle, and I find her completely adorable!
Easter Morning!
The Easter Bunny left some fun things for the kids this year. The girls got some pretty cute rain boots which they put on immediately and Parker got a baseball glove and ball which he LOVED! We had a fun time finding some Easter eggs around the house and then got the kiddos dressed in their Easter outfits. We headed off to church and then after went to my mom and dad's for brunch. We had another Easter egg hunt and just enjoyed some time together. We also took a drive up to visit Dave's parents. The kids love seeing their cousins and the weather was so nice so they played outside and created their own Easter egg hunt. All in all, a great day!'
The best group shot we could manage of the three of them!
It's all about the dresses for these cute girls!

Going to the Zoo!
We decided to take the kids to the zoo one Sunday. It was perfect! The weather was nice and cool and there was hardly anyone there. The kids had so much with us and grandma and grandpa. It is so much fun to watch their faces light up as we see these amazing animals. Hogle Zoo has greatly improved many of the animals habitats, it is nice to see that they are providing areas that more closely reflect their natural surroundings as much as possible.
The polar bear exhibit is one of the many that they improved.
This bear is so funny, he dives in the water and then will pop up to the
waiting children at the glass, the kids adored this!
Joy.
